Building and researching
the next frontier of insurance.
Insurance Frontier Alliance
Our purpose
The Insurance Frontier Alliance brings together leaders and operators to build better insurance with AI.
AI should help insurance businesses operate more effectively, develop better products, and serve customers better, creating more efficient markets with better access, coverage, and fairer pricing.
Every part of the insurance value chain should deliver clear value. AI should reduce unnecessary costs and friction while strengthening service.
AI must support sound decisions across the insurance value chain and protect customers from misuse and errors.
We focus on underwriting, claims, and distribution, and how changes in each reshape the others.
What we will do
Our goal is to shorten the path from promising ideas to better insurance: advancing innovation, assessing risks, and bringing the changes we want to see into practice sooner.
Exchange practical lessons, tackle live operating challenges, and explore emerging research.
Collaborate on research and practical experiments spanning AI capabilities, business models, operating practices, and policy questions that shape adoption.
Develop rigorous, independent model evaluations and risk assessments tailored to insurance.
Publish useful findings and practical tools without disclosing protected information.
We can draw inspiration from Anthropic and other frontier AI labs on how to structure rigorous evaluations and assess risks, adapting their methods to insurance.
Our reputation will come from what we discover, build, and publish together.
How we will work
The alliance will meet quarterly by video and twice a year in person, once in San Francisco and once in New York. Sessions will strengthen relationships and partnerships, connect operating challenges with emerging research, and identify questions to explore together.
Between meetings, project-based working groups will tackle specific challenges, share progress with the alliance, and produce research, benchmarks, practical guidance, or proposed standards.
Who belongs?
Founders, executives, and operating leaders from startups and established companies across carriers and MGAs, brokerage, reinsurance, AI labs, venture capital and private equity, regulation, and agentic ecommerce including payments.
We optimize for do-ers.
